- : I tried last night, too: SupraVaxModem 28.8 -- I think the Soft-Logik modem
- : produces a carrier signal reminiscent of 300baud (eek!) modems.
-
- I'm running Terminus under 2.1/2.04, w/ a USR 28.8 external. It's a
- pretty thoroughly de-bugged setup.
-
- It may simply be that their BBS is running under hopelessly obsolete
- conditions, but then why did Michael *specify* making a 14.4 or 28.8
- connection? Maybe they just need help; maybe they're just slammed for
- time & strapped for bucks & don't know what else to do.
-
- Maybe they could talk to us & lay it all out....

- : Has *anyone* managed to get a copy of PageStream3.0i downloaded? I've been
- : checking Aminet every day but it has not yet appeared there. For all
- : practical purposes 3.0i is not released... :-/ And I want it!!
-
- After my first post, I got mail from a guy who said he was downloading
- 3.0i at that moment; yet I think the utter silence here speaks volumes.
- That, and the fact that I've rarely gotten a busy signal tells me that no
- one's connecting & downloading.
-
- To Michael & the Soft-Logik folks: I'm not interested in slamming you
- guys, nor in jumping to conclusions, and I *know* what it's like to have
- people screaming over your shoulder when you're trying to be a wizard.
- You've made a wonderful product, and I'm glad I bought it, and I'm
- prepared to continue being patient.
-
- At the same time, the release announcement pointed us to a big hole, and
- no-one's saying anything about it. It's the kind of situation that makes
- an Amiga user nervous. I, for one, would appreciate it if someone @
- Soft-Logik said something true about this, and left the combat marketing
- to MicroSloth.
-
- If the patch isn't *actually* ready, oh all right; if the BBS is dying a
- slow and horrible death, you could scrounge up a copy of the Dialog
- software & I could loan you my extra modem.
-
- Or, you could take advantage of Udo's offer of a web-linked ftp site
- (thanks, Udo!):
-
- : I'll supply the ftp site (including a WWW interface) if anyone gets me
- : the patch files!

- I'm going to be away for awhile, and all this will doubtless be cleared
- up by then, but I'd appreciate it if someone would mail me Soft-Logik's
- response, if any.
