  22. I'm running Terminus under 2.1/2.04, w/ a USR 28.8 external.  It's a 
  23. pretty thoroughly de-bugged setup.

  25. It may simply be that their BBS is running under hopelessly obsolete 
  26. conditions, but then why did Michael *specify* making a 14.4 or 28.8 
  27. connection?  Maybe they just need help;  maybe they're just slammed for 
  28. time & strapped for bucks & don't know what else to do.

  37. After my first post, I got mail from a guy who said he was downloading 
  38. 3.0i at that moment;  yet I think the utter silence here speaks volumes.  
  39. That, and the fact that I've rarely gotten a busy signal tells me that no 
  40. one's connecting & downloading.

  42. To Michael & the Soft-Logik folks:  I'm not interested in slamming you 
  43. guys, nor in jumping to conclusions, and I *know* what it's like to have 
  44. people screaming over your shoulder when you're trying to be a wizard.  
  45. You've made a wonderful product, and I'm glad I bought it, and I'm 
  46. prepared to continue being patient.

  48. At the same time, the release announcement pointed us to a big hole, and
  49. no-one's saying anything about it.  It's the kind of situation that makes
  50. an Amiga user nervous.  I, for one, would appreciate it if someone @ 
  51. Soft-Logik said something true about this, and left the combat marketing 
  52. to MicroSloth.

  54. If the patch isn't *actually* ready, oh all right;  if the BBS is dying a 
  55. slow and horrible death, you could scrounge up a copy of the Dialog 
  56. software & I could loan you my extra modem.
